Handyman Services Across Florida
The Handyman Company is a Florida handyman, home repair, and remodeling company with six local offices: Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Clearwater, Sarasota, and Melbourne. Its own employee craftsmen have fixed Florida homes since 1999, under state contractor licenses CRC1336072 and CBC1258366, with a written price and a one year warranty on every job.
Our craftsmen live in the communities they serve. Find your closest office, or call and we will come to you. Open Daily 8 AM to 5 PM.

How the six offices work
Need a Handyman? Florida Homeowners Have Six Local Offices to Call
Each office has its own handymen, its own phone number, and its own part of the state. The office closest to you takes your job, so the handyman who comes out works your area every week and knows how the houses in your neighborhood are built. Residential repairs are most of the work, and businesses and landlords call the same offices for maintenance. That is what local handyman services should mean: a handyman close enough to come back.
Tampa, our headquarters since 1999, covers Hillsborough County and Pasco. Clearwater covers Pinellas County, from St. Petersburg up to Palm Harbor. Sarasota covers Sarasota and Manatee counties. Orlando covers Central Florida, Jacksonville covers Northeast Florida, and Melbourne covers Brevard County on the Space Coast.
Under each office are the towns its team works most. A homeowner in Brandon gets the Tampa team, a homeowner in Palm Bay gets the Melbourne team, and a homeowner in Winter Park gets the Orlando team. If your town is not listed, call 800-931-1106 and we will tell you straight whether an office covers it.

The same at every office
What You Get When You Hire a Handyman From Any Florida Office
Whichever office you hire, the promise does not change. Here is what a Florida homeowner can count on from all six.
Our own craftsmen
Every handyman is a skilled employee who arrives in a company truck with the tools for the job. We never send a subcontractor or a stranger from a lead site.
A written price first
The estimate is free and covers the whole job, materials included. The quote you approve is the bill you get.
A one year warranty
Every job carries it. If something we did is not right, we come back and make it right.
A person on the phone
A person answers. Leave a message and we call back within one business day, and we can usually schedule within a week.
Licensed for bigger work
State contractor licenses CRC1336072 and CBC1258366 let any office pull a permit, so a remodel never gets handed off.
Insured, with proof
We are licensed, insured, and bonded, with general liability coverage. Ask for the insurance certificate with your estimate and we will be glad to send it.
The work, statewide
What Do Florida Homeowners Hire a Local Handyman For?
Mostly the to-do list: minor home repairs, small tasks, and the odd jobs that pile up. General handyman visits and carpentry are half of everything we book across Florida. Drywall repair is about one job in eight, from a doorknob hole to a water-stained ceiling, and door repair is among the four most booked jobs at every one of our six offices.
The rest is the everyday work a Florida house asks for. We fix broken doors or hang a new door in the old frame. We hang a ceiling fan or a light fixture like for like on the box that is there. We do furniture assembly, hang curtain rods, blinds, and other window treatments, mount TVs, do fence repair on a gate that drags, and take care of replacing trim and paint touch ups after a move.
Tile is the flooring we install most, and stucco repairs outnumber siding repairs about three to one. Hurricane shutter installation is the storm job we book most. Property managers and owners of commercial properties hand us the same maintenance tasks on a schedule, with a written price per job and no long-term contracts.
Each office has its own lean. Drywall comes up most in Melbourne, bathroom work in Orlando, and Sarasota and Tampa see the most customers come back to us. Spring is the busiest season everywhere, so a call in the fall usually gets the earliest date.

Larger projects
When Does a Home Improvement Project Need More Than a Handyman?
When it needs a permit, and then it still only needs us. Florida has no handyman license, so an unlicensed handyman can take only minor repairs under $2,500 that need no permit. A licensed contractor can do handyman work, but a handyman cannot do contractor work. Our state licenses let every office take both.
That covers the larger home projects: a bathroom remodel, which usually takes one to two weeks, a tub-to-shower conversion, a kitchen refresh, new floors through a whole house, or a sliding glass door opening converted to French doors. Permits come from the city or county building department where you live, and we pull them under our own licenses.
Some work belongs to a specialist, and we will say so at the estimate. We swap faucets and toilets in place, the light plumbing a handyman does well, and plumbing behind the wall goes to a licensed plumber. Electrical work beyond a like-for-like swap on an existing box goes to an electrician. Roofs go to a roofer. You hear it up front, before a dollar moves.

Towns We Cover
Beyond the six office cities, our handymen work 16 towns often enough to know them well. Each one is listed under the office whose team comes out.

Florida Handyman Questions, Answered
Who is the best handyman near me in Florida?
Start with the checkable facts, then find the office nearest you. The Handyman Company has repaired Florida homes since 1999 from six local offices: Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Clearwater, Sarasota, and Melbourne. It holds state contractor licenses CRC1336072 and CBC1258366, sends its own employees, and holds a BBB A+ rating. The estimate is free, the price is written first, and every job carries a one year warranty. Whoever you call, check the license, the insurance, the local business tax receipt, and the recent Google reviews.
Where does The Handyman Company have offices in Florida?
Six offices: Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Clearwater, Sarasota, and Melbourne. Each office serves its surrounding communities, so most of Florida's population centers are covered by a local team. We have no locations outside Florida.
What if my city is not on the list?
Call 800-931-1106 and describe where you are. Each office covers a wide area around its home city, and we will tell you honestly whether your address is inside it rather than stretch a handyman somewhere we cannot serve well.
Does every office do the same home repairs?
Yes. Every office offers the full list: handyman repairs, remodeling, exterior and storm work, and commercial jobs, with the same written pricing and one year warranty at all six.
How much does a handyman cost at your Florida offices?
We price the job, not the hour, and the estimate is free at every office. You get the price in writing before work starts, and bundling several small repairs into one visit costs less than calling for each one. The pricing guide explains what moves a price.
Can any of your offices take permitted work?
Yes. Florida has no handyman license, and an unlicensed handyman is limited to minor repairs under $2,500 that need no permit. Our state contractor licenses cover the rest, so any office can pull the permit for a remodel or structural repair. The Florida license rules explain where the line sits.
Can a local handyman do drywall repair, a ceiling fan, and furniture assembly in one visit?
Yes, and that is the kind of list we like best. Put the drywall patch, the ceiling fan, the furniture, and the loose towel bar on one visit and one written price. A fan goes up like for like on the box that is there. Electrical work beyond that goes to an electrician, and we will say so at the estimate.
Will the handyman who shows up actually be local?
Yes. Jobs are handled by the office closest to you, staffed by our own employee craftsmen who work that area every week, not a traveling team or a referral network.
How do I book with my local office?
Send the estimate form or call 800-931-1106, and the office closest to you handles it from there. You get a call back within one business day and a written price before any work starts.
